Everyone Thinks Coding Is The Hard Part. It Is Not Anymore.

Ben Broca started a business by himself called Polsia and reached $1 million in yearly sales in just 30 days. Maor Shlomo built Base44 all on his own and sold it to Wix for $80 million only six months later.

Many schools say these people succeeded because they became expert coders. But that is not actually what happened.

The Main Challenge Has Changed

A builder explained this change simply in a recent report: back in 2022, building a basic working product cost between $50,000 and $150,000 and took months of hard work. Today, one person can build and launch a working app in a single weekend. Building apps has become about a thousand times easier and cheaper.

Yet, the same research shows that fewer than 3 out of every 100 solo software founders ever reach $1.2 million in yearly sales.

When you compare those two facts, the main point is clear: building software is now almost free, but getting people to actually use what you built is still very hard.

What Successful Founders Do Differently

The most successful founders do not spend late nights staring at complicated computer code. Instead, they focus on three main habits:

  • They guide tools instead of writing every line of code: Founders like Broca act more like orchestra conductors. They manage a team of AI tools that handle coding, marketing, and customer support for a tiny fraction of the usual cost.

  • They launch early instead of waiting for perfection: Shlomo’s Base44 reached 250,000 users and started making money in six months—not because the app was perfect, but because it was live so users could try it while competitors were still planning.

  • They focus on reaching customers: Finding an audience, picking the right time, and solving a real problem are what make the difference between a product that makes millions and one that nobody ever finds.

What You Should Learn Next

If writing code is no longer the hardest step, the most valuable education teaches you how to guide the whole project—combining tech choices, product strategy, and marketing together.

That is why the Tech MBA at Amsterdam Tech was created. Designed for future leaders who do not want to focus only on coding, it teaches you how to lead technical teams, use AI tools, and make key decisions that turn ideas into successful businesses.

Want to learn the fastest way to turn an idea into a product with real users? Check out the Amsterdam Tech Tech MBA brochure and take the next step in your journey.
